The greatest basketball player of all time is agreed upon by almost everyone in the world. Likely no one will ever dominate the game of basketball the way Michael Jordan did when he played. More than in the recent past there has been discussion regarding Jordan's status as the greatest due to LeBron James and his career. However, every shocking statement or claim made that tries to take away his title as the greatest, there are ten moments in his career that prove otherwise.

Jordan’s NBA career began shortly after the first clutch shot he is known for. While playing for the North Carolina Tar Heels Jordan nailed a shot that gave the school a national championship over Georgetown. He began his professional career soon after by being drafted by the Bulls. The pieces needed to win a championship were then collected around Jordan over the next few years. Two of the main pieces brought in were Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant.

Yet even once these pieces were put together a championship was still some time away. A team that was not going to give up their spot as the elite team in the NBA were the Detroit Pistons. After many years of battles the Bulls eventually broke through on their way to winning three consecutive championships. Jordan retired at the top of his game after the first three peat and eventually came back to win three more in a row two years later.

Michael Jordan's Playground is one of the better movies made that details some of Jordan's early career. A DVD version of the movie is now available and Jordan narrates it himself. The struggles and triumphs of his career are detailed in addition to what made him successful. Any young basketball player will find this film very interesting and full of knowledge, as will people who want to know more about Jordan.
